What is Moddi?+
A live spreadsheet editor for your Shopify products, collections, files and metaobjects. You edit inline, filter, save views and bulk edit without a CSV round trip, and AI can write descriptions, SEO, alt text and file names, and translate, for many rows at once.
Does it change my store without asking?+
No. Your edits and every AI result wait as drafts until you choose to update Shopify. You can see exactly what will change first, and AI never overwrites something you wrote by hand without you seeing it. An AI automation can be set to send its results without review, but that is off by default.
Do I need to export and import CSV files?+
No. You edit in the grid, which reads from a fast copy of your catalog kept up to date with Shopify, so there is no export, spreadsheet and import round trip. If you do want a file, you can import products from a CSV and export to CSV.
What can I edit?+
Products (with variants, SEO, metafields, inventory and translations), collections, files (alt text and file names) and metaobject entries. You can add new products, collections and metaobject entries in the grid. Pages and blogs are not supported yet.
How do AI credits work?+
Each piece of AI writing uses credits. You see an estimate before a run starts, and credits you don't use when a run ends are given back. Each plan includes a monthly allowance (50 on Free, up to 15,000 on Advanced). Paid plans can keep going past it at a set price per extra credit, with an optional spending limit you choose. Free stops at its allowance.
Can I undo a change?+
Yes. Moddi keeps an edit history with field-level changes, and you can revert a change or a whole bulk edit. How far back History reaches depends on your plan, from 30 days on Free to 180 days on Advanced.
How much does it cost?+
Free costs $0. Basic is $29 a month, Pro is $79 and Advanced is $149, billed monthly through Shopify, with a 14-day free trial on every paid plan. There is no yearly billing. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
